Why the specification changes here
Vertical glazing usually outweighs roof area on a standard conservatory footprint, so treating it first is the higher-value move.
Multi-panel runs are templated as a set so the mullion spacing lines up with the existing frames rather than cutting across them.
Where the room is used as a home office or dining space we prioritise the elevation facing the noise source rather than glazing all four sides at once.
Won't the roof still lose all the heat? The roof matters, but on most conservatories the vertical glazing is the larger total area — we will tell you honestly at survey whether the vertical work alone will get you where you want to be.

Common questions
Can secondary glazing make a conservatory usable in winter?
It extends the season at both ends by removing the dominant heat-loss path on the vertical elevations. If the roof is single-skin polycarbonate we will tell you that the roof is the limiting factor.
Do you glaze the roof as well?
No. We fit vertical secondary glazing only, and we would rather say that up front than take on work we cannot do well.
Does it help with rain noise?
On the vertical panels, yes. Rain on a glass or polycarbonate roof is a separate path and is unaffected.
