Lift-Outs

Clearview Lift out secondary glazing.

Where economy is paramount, look at Clearview’s Lift out secondary glazing, in the Vision range. Lift out glazing units are the most cost-effective type of secondary glazing. Ideal for situations where limited access to the primary window is needed (for example, a non-opening decorative window, or a window installed purely to provide light). As the name suggests, the units lift out of a secured channel, using an Easy Lift Fin (see data sheet). For practical purposes, we advise that sash size is considered, as the weight of the glass must be manageable, and specified correctly to avoid distortion. Each sash is manufactured with a double brush pile seal, enhancing thermal and acoustic insulation.

Where possible, Clearview recommend keeping the glass pane size below 25 kgs in weight for manual handling considerations. For reference, 4mm glass = 10 kgs per sq m/ 6mm + 6.4mm glass = 15 kgs per sq m. (Fixing materials are not included)

In common with the entire Clearview range, lift out units significantly reduce outside noise pollution, by giving enhanced acoustic insulation, and increased thermal efficiency, keeping draughts out and heat in.
