Condensation Solution

Cold single-glazed windows are a magnet for condensation. Secondary glazing warms the inner pane and stops the problem at its source.

Why single glazing runs wet

Warm room-air hits a cold single pane, drops below its dew point and releases moisture. That water pools on the sill, soaks into timber and feeds black mould. Wiping it away treats the symptom, not the cause.

How secondary glazing fixes it

The sealed air-gap keeps the inner pane much closer to room temperature. The dew point isn't reached, so moisture stays in the air where extraction and ventilation can handle it properly.

  • Warmer inner glass surface
  • Eliminates window condensation
  • Prevents timber rot on frames
  • Kills the mould food source

What if condensation still appears?

If moisture forms inside the air-gap between the two panes, it's a sign the primary window isn't sealed properly. We'll identify the source during survey and — if needed — service or draught-strip the original at the same time.
